Tricentis Announces Expanded Investment in Ireland

Tricentis, a global leader in continuous testing and quality engineering, today announced new plans to invest further in Ireland, with ambitions to grow local headcount in Cork, as well as plans to move to a new office space to accommodate its expanding team. Since beginning operations in Cork in 2022 the office has grown significantly, with plans to create 50 new jobs over the next few years.

Headquartered in Austin Texas, with 26 offices globally, Tricentis provides AI-powered solutions to automate testing and improve software quality. Its Cork operation to date has focused on consolidating international finance and building various functions such as payroll, accounts payable, projects, revenue, legal, data analytics, and more. The new job roles will expand further across several key areas such as sales, engineering, finance, business operations, and customer growth.

This project is supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Visiting the Tricentis team in Austin yesterday, Taoiseach Micheál Martin TD said: "This investment highlights Ireland's appeal as a hub for innovation and technology, supported by the strategic efforts of IDA Ireland. During my meeting with the Tricentis team in Austin, Texas, I learned that the team in Ireland has led several initiatives to optimise Tricentis’ international business operations. We look forward to the positive impact this project will have."

Minister for Enterprise Tourism & Employment Peter Burke TD “I welcome the news that Tricentis is expanding its team in Cork, creating 50 new roles. This development exemplifies the type of projects we aim to attract and secure under Ireland’s National AI Strategy: ‘AI – Here for Good’. It underscores the Government’s commitment to leveraging trustworthy, people-centred AI for the benefit of our economy and society.

Kevin Thompson, Tricentis CEO, stated: “Ireland plays a crucial role in our vision to drive Tricentis revenue over $1 billion and cement ourselves globally as the leader in software quality. The majority of our executive team has already been building and managing teams within Ireland for many years, so we know from experience what an incredible advantage we gain from closer ties with such a business-friendly country and highly talented workforce. We look forward to continuing our journey and contributing to the vibrant tech ecosystem in Ireland."

CEO for IDA Ireland Michael Lohan said: “Tricentis’ decision to establish Cork City as an international hub is terrific news. This decision highlights the South West region’s highly skilled and talented workforce. Securing new name investments such as this is central to our new strategy, Adapt Intelligently: A Strategy for Sustainable Growth and Innovation, 2025-29. I wish Tricentis every success and assure them of IDA Ireland’s continued support.”

In 2024, Tricentis generated over $425 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR), and growth of approximately 27% YoY while driving a meaningful and increasing level of profitability.
